Speyside Whisky Tour Weekend
TRIP DATE: Available to book every Thursday to Sunday all year round (excluding Christmas). There is a minimum of two and a maximum of six guests at any one time.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to your Vintage Whisky Club Scotland Whisky Adventure. Your travel to Scotland in October will be arranged for you in advance and all information on bookings and full itineraries will be supplied before you travel. Flights to Aberdeen are not included so please make sure you arrive at the time allocated. A driver and host will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall.
What to bring?
October in Scotland starts to get chilly and we can experience some rain and wind, so we suggest some comfortable casual warm layers, sensible shoes as well as a good coat to handle the unexpected are highly recommended. All accommodation will be included in the itinerary in a 4 star hotel in Speyside with a restaurant, bar and outdoor space.

All lunch, evening meals and drinks are not included unless otherwise stated in the itinerary.

Day 1
- 11 AM – Arrive Aberdeen Airport
- 11:30 AM – Transport and host will be waiting for you in arrivals
- 12:30 PM – Light lunch at Old Meldrum House Hotel
- 2:00 PM – Travel to Glendronach Distillery Tour, 1.5 hour tour, warehouse and tasting
- 4:00 PM – Check in to The Downas Hotel, Aberlour
- 5:30 PM – Early evening pre dinner drink in the Still Bar hosted by a Whisky Club representative
- 6:30 PM – Welcome dinner in the Spe
- 8:30 PM – Sunset drams with cigars on the terrace
Day 2
- AM – Full Scottish breakfast from 7am
- 9:30 AM – Meet in Lobby. Travel to Balvenie Distillery
- 10:00 AM – The Balvenie - Tour, nosing, tasting and warehouse experience
- 12:00 PM – Lunch at The Malt Barn, Glenfiddich (not included in price)
- 1:30 PM – Travel to The Macallan Distillery
- 2:00 PM – Tour Macallan with nosing, tasting of premium range
- 4:00 PM – Drams in The Macallan Bar (optional, not included in price/tour)
- 4:30 PM – Back to The Dowans Hotel
- PM – Dinner at your leisure
Day 3
- AM – Full Scottish breakfast from 7am
- 9:00 AM – Meet in lobby and pick up for a morning of Clay Shooting
- 10:00 AM – Arrive at Clay Pigeon Shooting range - Mid morning mystery dram supplied by a Whisky Club representative
- 12:30 PM – Picnic Lunch from the Spey Larder sitting on the banks of the Spey River (not included in price)
- 2:00 PM – Tour Glenfarclas Distillery with tasting and warehouse experience
- 4:00 PM – Visit the distillery shop and travel back to the hotel
- PM – BBQ on the banks of the Spey river or outdoors
Day 4
- AM – Full Scottish breakfast from 7am
- 9:00 AM – Check out
- 10:00 AM – Transport to Aberdeen airport
- Flight home will be around mid day or just before
